Korea is an ever changing experience for me. I've been here for just about 3 months now. While I've been comfortable at my current location, I will be departing to another area in 2 days. I hate change especially when it involves packing and moving my stuff. It's never fun to do it, especially when you don't have a choice in the matter.
I hope that the place I move to will be my final residence here in Korea. The only move I look forward to is my return to the United States of America. And that time just can't come any sooner.
Korea is a fun and beautiful country. It's sad the job holds me back from fully enjoying the experiences it has to offer.

Tired Out
We went to the mall today. We didn't buy much. Just a couple of shirts and accessories We go there mostly to walk around. I'm busy at work all week and Jen takes care of Frankie J 24/7, so strolling through the mall is like therapy. It's a mini getaway for us. The big one comes next month when we fly out to Hawaii and then Saipan afterwards. I haven't been home in 4 years. I'm really looking forward to this trip.
Anyway, the therapy session was exhausting. My little boy conked out on me.

First iPhone Post
I'm lost with this blogger deal. I forget about it and then rediscover it. Now that I have an iPhone maybe it'll be easier to write something - even it isn't much. I'll include pics with my posts as well just so I won't have to crank my brain for words.
Here's a shot of Frankie with his doggy ears cap. I put it on just as he woke up. This guy cracks me up lol.

Haiti and snow...lots and lots of snow.
On December 3rd Frankie and I flew back to Saipan to spend 6 weeks with the families. We got back to North Carolina on January 12th, the next day the Haiti earthquake hit. Joe was deployed to Haiti on a humanitarian mission within a week. In all we got to spend about a day and a half with him since December 3rd. Since December 3rd Frankie has learned how to roll over and sit up by himself. His Daddy hasn't been able to see it yet. The other day he got up on his knees and tried (unsuccessfully) to crawl. Joe's orders say they will be in Haiti until July. I pray everyday that he will be home in time just to see his baby crawl.
The day Joe left Frankie and I packed up the car and drove up to Maryland. Then it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. The DC metro area (where we were) hadn't seen that much snow since 1922. Everything was shut down, including the federal government. We were stuck in the house for days hoping our power wouldn't go out. My sister graciously let us share her bed and bedroom. Although I enjoyed seeing family, it was hard not having our own space. So one morning the tv announced major highways were cleared and the next blizzard wouldn't be hitting until later that afternoon, we jumped back in the car and headed back to North Carolina. I have to admit it's been lonely here. We've been passing the time redecorating the house and going shopping. I miss Maryland, but I'm too scared to go back just in case Joe comes back earlier than expected.
They finally got internet in Haiti which has been a big relief. For the last few weeks Joe has only been able to call about every 4 days and we never talk more than 15 minutes. At least now he can e-mail us. And they just got an address down there too, Frankie just finished packing his first box for Daddy to be mailed tomorrow :)

Last Day
Today is the last day of my 4-Day weekend off. I've been cleaning up a bit around the house. The dishes are done, the carpet has been vacuumed, I've finished dusting major electronic appliances, and now just getting done with the laundry. Doing these chores makes miss Jen even more. It's not that I make her do everything or run a slave labor camp here. It's just that I miss seeing her do these wifely activities. I even miss her barking orders for me to pick this up, put that away, or clean my toilet. Aii. The married life is oh so wonderful :)

Success!
Now that this thingy works, it might just motivate me to post something. I'm mostly on my blackberry anyways.
